Beware of Claims Sharks

An investigation by The War Horse and NPR found that dozens of for-profit “claims-consulting” firms continue to charge disabled veterans for helping with disability-benefit claims, even though the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has repeatedly warned many of those firms that such fees may be illegal.
